For the Love of Family
Feb
I grew up in a large family; five brothers and five sisters. As a child I always thought it was so cool that my dad had five brothers and five sisters, my mom had five brothers and five sisters and I too, had five brothers and five sisters. My father passed away when I was seventeen, but not before he taught me to always work hard and always do my best.
My mother always found time for each and every one of us, even with her many household chores that went with raising eleven children. I am fortunate to still have my mother with me and she still is there for each and every one of us children with words of wisdom and a comforting hug when we need it. My mom will turn 91 years old this year but she still writes out and sends greeting cards to all us children and all of her twenty five grandchildren at birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Easter and Christmas to tell us that she loves us.
I have learned about love and respect and patience and forgiveness from my mother, but most of all, I have learned about the importance of family.
